Business Development Manager (Sub-Sahara)

Business Development Manager (Sub-Sahara)

Working Place: Southern Africa

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities in licensed and non-licensed PV market in Sub-Sahara region for EPC and project development business with reasonable gross margin.
  • Develop and maintain market intelligence, and report on activities and pipeline opportunities. 
  • Converts leads into opportunities and manage the internal RFQ process. 
  • Prepares, reviews, and presents RFQ and other opportunities with recommendations to senior management and investment committee. 
  • Develop and maintain pipeline programs and opportunities 
  • Formulate strategies for bidding in public and private tenders. Presents proposals with prospective clients and customers. 
  • Develop and maintain relationship with local PV acting developers, institutions, and advisers.  
  • Explore opportunities to form joint venture with local and international companies. 
  • Work closely with Engineering and Project Management teams in Munich office to develop project proposals and bidding packages. 
  • Reviews and compares contract terms and conditions with company contract standards, and conduct commercial negotiation. 
  • Represent the Company at trade show, industry conferences and community events.

Knowledge and Requirements:

  • University degree with the major in finance, business management, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3-year experience in renewable energy industry. Direct PV experience is a big plus.
  • High degree of independence, initiative and decisiveness
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with strong self-motivation, and delivering timely, solution oriented advice

  • Ability to travel for business opportunities.

 Language skills:

  • Very high English proficiency in speaking and writing.
  • Other languages could be beneficial.
